A new Specialist has joined the Cayman Medical Community!

Dr. O’Connor has moved with his wife and family to the Cayman Islands full time. He is a Physiatrist, a nerve, muscle, and bone specialist who treats injuries or illnesses that affect how you move. Physiatrists treat a wide range of problems from sore shoulders to spinal cord injuries. The goal is to decrease pain and enhance performance without surgery.

He is has joined Dr. Caroline Quartly also a Physiatrist, in her office at Cayman Physiotherapy. “Having my office in a physio clinic is the perfect environment for patients to maximize their potential. Working out of Cayman Physiotherapy allows me to oversee my patient’s rehab. I can walk out and see how my patients are coming along with their exercise and therapy. It really speeds the recovery and rehab process. I am really excited to have this opportunity to improve the quality of my patients lives.” Says Dr. O’Connor.


“I look forward to working with patients and their doctors by adding a service that currently doesn’t exist on Cayman Island full time. I am the only physician who is here full time providing nerve testing and rehabilitation medicine expertise. Many patients are going off island at great expense for EMG or nerve testing which is now available here. Patients who have suffered life changing events such as a stroke can now work on their rehabilitation here on island under the guidance of a Physiatrist (or rehab specialist) which has not been possible to date.” Says Dr. O’Connor.
