Jackie Ridgway, Education therapist / Learning Breakthrough Coordinator.

I’m a South African and have been on island since February 2009. I am a mixed bag when it comes to qualifications as my interests are quite broad. I have a degree in Sport Science and Psychology as well as a degree in Education and also Remedial/Special Education. I am also a qualified Sports Massage Therapist. My main focus at the moment is co-ordinating and running an exercise based program called Learning Breakthrough. The program assists children with learning difficulties but can also be used by adults and elite athletes too. The program uses vestibular based exercises to enhance the functioning of the cerebellum which in turn improves reading, writing, memory, hand eye co-ordination, reaction speed and many others.
